Come Make Exciting Memories
November 17, 2018 - 10am - 4pm
Come celebrate harvests from around the world in our NEW LOCATION at 7070 Carson St. Long Beach, CA. We are bringing “harvest” back to our 9th annual Harvest Faire, and honoring what harvest means to so many cultures around the world. It is a reminder that even in these moderns times we can still appreciate where our food comes from.
We will represent multiple cultures, including Mexican, Jewish, Chinese, Japanese and Italian through delicious authentic food, interactive activities, crafts, entertainment and games.
Journey through the interactive World Village assisting artisans in their craft. Grind corn to make your own tortilla, or visit the farmer under the Sukkah and take a turn on the apple press to make your own fresh juice. Spin wool to keep or add it to the Weaver’s loom that will be raffled at the end of the day. Test your skills with the Climbing Wall and Ropes Course or join the Pixies and Gnomes in their games to collect tokens for quality prizes. Get your hair braided and face painted before having tea with the Queen. And be sure to wash your feet after stomping grapes!
If you’re feeling crafty, you can create a beautiful Chinese lantern, paper flower crown or fold an origami “bunny in the moon” at our craft stations.
Back by popular request, we invite you to the magical Fairy & Gnome Village where the children are free to create, build and revel in the wonder of nature. Using only natural materials, the children will be able to create their own unique and cozy resting places and homes for the fairies and gnomes visiting the Faire.
Enjoy cultural entertainment throughout the day and be sure to stay for our closing drum circle and fire dancing ceremony.
Come early! It will be a full day of fun for the whole family!
